Several Cypress Ridge 2010 graduates will be playing college baseball in the coming years.  

Corey Bartkowiak will play at Stephen F. Austin University

Cody Brown will play at Mary Hardin Baylor University  

Jeff Sealy will play at Brookhaven Junior College

Tyler Lukes will play at McMurry University

The Strength and Speed Development Course for current high school students will be held July 5 - August 5 at Cypress Ridge.  There are two sessions, 8-10 AM or 4-6 PM Monday - Thursday of each week.  The cost is $25 to participate.  The session is open to any athlete, male or female, who wishes to improve their endurance.  A current physical is required.

The coaches in CFISD selected the All District players for the 2010 season.  Cypress Ridge was well represented.  Matt Roberts was selected for first team as a pitcher.  Geremy Gain and Cody Guajardo were selected for second team; Geremy as a pitcher and Cody at third base. Several players were given honorable mention: Tyler Lukes, Kenny Self, Jeff Sealy, Victor Delgado, and Dylan Zarosky.  The Rams had a successful season, making it to the district 15-5A state playoffs.

A former Cypress Ridge Ram, Osei Asante, presents a Navy jersey with the number 44 to President Barack Obama after Navy beat Army and Air Force this season.  Navy also won the Texas Bowl this year.  Asante was the team captain.

The varsity baseball team played a tie-breaker game for the second year in a row to determine a playoff position.  The team won in the bottom of the seventh inning against Cy-Creek 5-4 to advance to the state playoffs.  The first game will be in Georgetown on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 7:00 pm.  The second game will be at Cy-Ridge Friday May 7 at 7:00 pm. 

The senior baseball players for Cypress Ridge were recognized for their achievements at the game Saturday, April 24.  There are 12 seniors on the team.
